Two women were gang raped by about a dozen juveniles while sitting in a
Delaware park Thursday according to police.
The victims, aged 24 and 32, recounted to Wilmington police of being
approached by a group of 10 to 12 black males between 12 and 17 years of age
before sun set in Kosciuszko Park at 7 p.m.
They say they were forcefully grabbed and sexually assaulted before the
attackers ran from the scene.

As of Sunday no witnesses had come forward to help identify any suspects in
the deplorable crime that led to the hospitalization of both women by
ambulance. The condition of the two women was not released.

"The new criminal we're seeing, they're bold, they're brazen, and they have
a total disregard for life," Maria Cabrera, city councilwoman-at-large in
Wilmington told CBS Philadelphia.
As word of the attack spread, so did fear of the neighborhood park as seen
in residents' scarcity immediately after, Delaware Online reported.

But despite the horror, it was not the first to occur within the park's
walls.
In March a woman was confronted by a man holding a gun who forced her inside
the park and raped her, according to police reports.

Authorities say officers were called to Kosciuszko Park near the 600 block
of S. Franklin St. shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday and found two women, aged
24 and 32. Both were taken to Christiana Hospital by ambulance.
In May 2012 a 28-year-old woman was shot to death. Two others were wounded.

In June 2010 a 20-year-old woman was chased by a man into the park before
she was knocked to the ground and raped.
Of those three incidents only one arrest was made. That was in the shooting
death whose arrest was attributed to residents' tips, police Cpl. Jamaine
Crawford said.

The sad thing about this story, beside the fact that two defenseless women
were brutally raped, is that the likihood of anyone of the perpetrators
actually being is very low, and if they are caught will be prosecuted in
juvenile court and get community service and probation. Maybe even 6 month
stay in some detention center.
Meanwhile, these two women will be haunted by their experience for the rest
of their lives.
I just wish I would have happened by when all this was going on. Twelve
fewer trouble-makers in the world would be the result. At least 6-8. I'm a
damn good shot.

Or, they will get a very good lawyer, one wanting to make a name for himself
, and get them off. Even with DNA, they'll prove these innocent little
angels were just wilding in the park and did nothing wrong. Just being in
the wrong place at the wrong time. Let's wait and see. | F*****1
