Matter’

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith doesn’t always go with the flow when it
comes to controversial topics and issues, a reputation he firmly cemented
with his take on the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
This is simply too much truth for the average liberal brain to handle, so I
’m sure lefties all across the country are having meltdowns over Smith’s
comments.
Check it out.
From TheBlaze:
Weighing in on the divisive “black lives matter” movement, Smith asked
Twitter why there’s not outrage among “black lives matter” advocates
when “black folks are killing black folks.”
He then defended Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley for
proclaiming “all lives matter.” The Democrat was booed by demonstrators
and was later forced to apologize for saying all lives matter.
“I’m a black man. Of course I know #BlackLivesMatter,” Smith wrote.
“You can’t boo a presidential candidate just b/c he says ‘all lives
matter’.”
Where is all the noise about #BlackLivesMatter when black folks are
killing black folks?

There’s nothing wrong when a presidential candidate says “All lives
Matter”!

There’a one last tweet that was a bit longer, and it’s guaranteed to make
liberals fighting mad.
I didn’t hear Gov. Martin O’Malley’s interview. And I’m not
debating the significance of “Black Lives Matter.” I’m a BLACK MAN! I
know this.
Nor am I focusing on O’Malley’s words or context itself. That’s
really not the issue to me.
The issue is: as much as attention was so desperately aimed towards “
Black Lives Matter,” where is all this noise when Black folks are getting
killed in our communities every single day? Does it only matter when we’re
getting killed OUTSIDE OF OUR COMMUNITY, by folks who look differently than
us?
That was my point. It IS my point. It will REMAIN my point. And I’m not
changing my position one bit.
Whatever context O’Malley made in saying “All Lives Matter” is his
issue to deal with. The same could be said for Hillary Rodham-Clinton when
she alluded to that weeks ago. But it still does not negate the point that
if we’ve reached a point where a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE is forced to
apologize and engage in clarification when choosing to say “ALL LIVES
MATTER” — while a few Black Folks are allowed to reign terror throughout
our own community by killing one another with nary a word said about it,
then the problems that truly permeate the Black Community will never be
resolved.
It’s the truth. Deal with it.
No Black Man with a soul would dream of attacking the movement that is
“Black Lives Matter.” I’m certainly not doing any such thing. I never
will.
Just make sure I hear #BlackLivesMatter ALL the time.
Specifically, when we’re getting killed by one another.
As you might imagine, those cuddly, “tolerant” lefty gremlins came out in
full force to use creative — dare I say, racist — words to try knocking
some sense back into Smith.
I, for one, appreciate Smith’s call for consistency among the “Black Lives
Matter” crowd, because that’s something they sorely lack.
If they truly believed this motto they’d be speaking out against the
unbelievably high black-on-black crime rate too, not to mention the obscene
number of black babies killed in abortions.
A person should say what they mean and mean what they say. To not live
according to the same set of principles one espouses to the rest of the
world and demand others adopt into their own lives is not only hypocritical,
it weakens the cause you claim to stand for.
If more folks adopted Smith’s approach to this issue, there would be a lot
more productive discussion about the topic than there is currently, but
heaven forbid people calmly and graciously share their thoughts and opinions
without getting angry and wanting to burn down the neighborhood 7-11.
After all, such a civilized, adult approach to controversial topics might
result in lower ratings for the mainstream media and personal growth and
development for those involved in the conversation. | f*******y 发帖数: 8358 | 2 I agree that Black Lives Matter movement is a joke. | l********k 发帖数: 14844 | 3 "Black lives matter MORE!" how's that sound? |
