at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the
Office of President..."
IN 1790 the US Congress passed the Naturalization Act that says:
"Immigrants who are free white persons of good character who were born
abroad to a father who was a US citizen who had been a resident of the
United States, natural born US citizens."
Cruz's father was a Cuban, and his mother was an American when he was born
in Canada. So, Cruz is not a natural born American citizen, but a natural
