As a former IBM manager who worked in the company for 22 years I can assure
you that IBM is a total, 100% loser. They pick their people for hiring and
promotion based on the person's skin pigmentation and/or the sexual organ
between their legs; not on the person's ability, intelligence, creativity,
education or achievement. This is what IBM calls "IBM Values". A company
that is that INSANE is a company that is doomed. Get out while you can now.
IBM is headed to that place right behind Sears.

If they don't base their hiring on statistics they get sued. Blame the
Courts, not the company.

Just because the threat of legal action is no reason not to hire and promote
most qualified.

IBM has some momentum (thank God considering my pension).. But it is not a
place that values innovation, creativity or thinking outside the box. Those
qualities are needed in today's extremely competitive IT industry. Instead,
IBM focuses on it's self-assigned role as the avenger against white male
dominance throughout the history of the United States. That is IBM's passion
, not making money. Of course, the execs make sure that they personally make
a ton of money themselves, but they view their second highest goal as "
social justice"; the hell with investors or customers. That is how it is. I
wish it were different but 22 years of experience working with these clowns
has driven that message home to me loud and clear.
