Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope in an article called "China's LAMOST
Observatory Prepares for the Ultimate Test". It mentioned Prof. Chu Yaoquan
at USTC as the leader of the scientific group.
"It's totally unlike any other telescope in the world," says Chu, LAMOST's
project scientist and an astrophysicist at the University of Science and
Technology of China in Hefei.

lamost好像96年前后就开始搞了吧，当时东去一教的大厅橱窗里好像还有
post。
