THE house where the entire Ding family was killed five months ago has been
put up for sale.
The house in Wootton, which was the home of Jifeng ‘Jeff’ Ding, his wife
Helen Chui and the pair’s two popular and talented children, Xing, aged 18,
and Alice, aged 12, has been put up for sale for almost 350,000.
Since the horrific murders, on April 29, the future of the four-bedroom
detached house was a mystery and some local representatives called for the
large family home to be demolished and a memorial garden created in its
place.
The house is owned by Paul Delaney, a former business partner of Helen Chui,
and was found to have been at the heart of a financial bitter dispute,
which detectives believe drove Anxiang Du to murder the four family members
on the day of the Royal Wedding.
In May, an investigation by the Chron revealed the house had been subject to
a drawn out court battle between the Dings and Anxiang Du as the pair
battled over failed businesses.
The Dings ended up selling the house to Delaney, for 210,000, in 2008,
prompting Mr Du and his wife, Dr Can Chen, to launch a legal bid to halt the
sale, claiming the Dings were deliberately undervaluing their home to put
the family’s assets beyond their reach.
The house has now been put up for sale for nearly 350,000.
In the weeks after the shocking murders local councillors called for the
house to be demolished and a permanent memorial to be created in its place.
Councillor Andre Gonzalez de Savage (Con, East Hunsbury) said: “This was a
horrific murder and the community has really been wounded significantly.
“We have spoken about memorial gardens.
“We would like to see the house demolished and feel it is right to place
some sort of memorial there,” he added. | d*e 发帖数: 843 | 2 谁敢买
