obviously tcsh and bash are the two most popular shells
i like tcsh more though :)

program shell script.
There used to be a page that from Tom Christian that why csh sucks in
scripting.. dunno if you can still find it.

All the sysadms in my dept use bash.

but before linux got popular, most people use csh and its enhanced version
