标 题: The Colorful Colorado (3) Independence Pass/Independence ghost town

Independence Pass作为Continental Divide的一部分,海拔12095 ft,是科罗拉多内
高速公路所能达到的最高的pass。而这一段的highway 82也以它壮观的alpine风景而著
称。天气好的时候可以看到包括mt. elbert在内好几个14er。可惜这一天,我们正赶上
凄风冷雨,只能匆匆忙忙的围着观景台绕了一圈。

We drove the 11 mile dirtroad in Rocky Mtn NP from the Fall River up to
Alpine Center (top) on a 4dr sedan.
So, did you feel your Forester has enough ground clearance for most of your
off-roading? |

think it's even real "off-road", it's just un-paved.

I did drive twice from Colorado River at Potash up to the top of Canyonland
under the DeadHorse Point - no need to have a 4x4 but high ground clearance
is needed. Have you done anything like that? |
