发帖数: 1837 | 1 上周山谷里的温度直奔3位数，于是我们趁着 Pioneer day的长周末进山避暑。这个时
候High Uinta的气温非常宜人，白天60多度，晚上3，40度。比较不爽的是因为今年的
春天多雨，蚊子狂多，天擦黑后基本不要想在外边呆着。我带的一身的雨衣都充当了防
蚊衣的角色。就算这样白天还是被咬了无数的包。:-(
我们这次的目的地是Red Castle Lake,因为据说人会比较少而Red Castle又是整个
Uinta里最上相的山峰之一。去Red Castle Lake有两条路，我和LD都是Alpine Meadow
控，对大片大片翠绿的山坡没有任何抵抗力，所以没怎么犹豫就选择了爬升多1000尺但
景色更好的Bald Mountain Trail. 事实证明山脊上的风景绝对值得多爬这一段。
我们的行程很简单，第一天从Trailhead爬上Bald Mountain Ridge，与Bald Mountain
的顶峰擦肩而过，然后下到Lower Red Castle Lake扎营;第二天从Lower Red Castle
Lake到Red Castle Lake，轻松休闲一天; 第三天打包 |

You can tell the elevation gain isn't tooooo much but three day's backpack
is more than I ever handled. |

not many of them are great because of the weather, which makes it harder to
go through them.
By the way, most of them are quite similar to yours so you are not missing
much. :-)

I wonder if I can do harding icefield trail. 1000 ft elevation gain every
mile... never done that.
