标 题: Is Family Day(2/19) a public holiday??

We are planning to go to Canada in Febrary. Wondering if Family Day is a
public holiday? Will many offices, like post office, schools, city halls,
etc. will be closed that day?
Thanks for your help! | r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 2 I just looked it up, never knew there is a Family day.
Family Day is the name of a statutory holiday in Alberta, Canada and a
public holiday in South Africa. In October 2006, Saskatchewan's premier
proposed the holiday for this province beginning in 2007[1].
It is celebrated on the third Monday in February each year. The holiday was
first celebrated in 1990. Alberta was the only province in Canada to have a
statutory holiday in February, until it was proposed in Saskatchewan
beginning in 2007.
