and said hi to me and followed me to this isle and scared the hell out of me

Please don't smile and say hi to stranger, you might just scare the shxx out

A lady friend of mine went to self-defense course. You may consider carrying
pepper spray in your purse. :-)

I think that man maybe too lonely and think others are as lonely and like to
talk to strangers as him. I don't know but I just felt scared somehow.

That's likely the case. It reminds me that when I was in college, couple of
guys in my class liked to spot and tried to talk to hot girls in school's
dinning area. That's partly due to the disproportionate number of female
students there. But it's different. :P
