and how much they would charge for such 'importation'.
it's an old car ....wonder if it's worth of taking it down there,
and a car will be necessary for daily life.
can u? no need to change license plate and driver's license, as well
as insurance?

if u move from the States to Canada ah......i.e., within 3 months or
even shorter period................
'coz I still expect the car to come back to Canada later.

intend to import the car, they will check if your car comforms to DOT and
EPA standard. If you pass, they will stamp on your document and you will
be able to register in WA or other states.
But even if your car doesn't meet the standard, you still can import it for
1 year. Officially you will have to bring the car back to Canada after 1 year.
In reality, they won't keep track of it, your local DMV will send you a
mail to renew

transport my car from Canada to US. They need car registration, a letter from
the manufacture stating that the car meets US standard, your visa copy.
That's it.
When register the car, you may have to take the car for an emission test,
which costs about $20.

正好手上有几张我拍的美加边境的相片.从相片上,你能看见边境的车流,一边是去美国的,
一边是到加拿大的. 有个白色的大的arch上书道"children of a common mother"
PS.在买买提玩了快四年了,竟第一次知道有这个板:(
