a******n 发帖数: 26 | 1 I was on J1 visa as a high school exchange student in 2002. I transferred to
F1 in 2003. I'm not sure whether I had a waiver or not. I don't have DS2019
. There's no statement on my original J1 visa stating "subject to 2 years
rule", and later I had no trouble going to China and coming back to the U.S.
I've contacted my undergraduate school for any possible document, but in
vain. So my question is: Did I obtain a waiver somehow without me knowing?
If not, is it possible to get waiver now after all these years?
Thank you for your help! | y**********l 发帖数: 509 | 2 if on the J1 visa stamp doesnt say 2yr rule apply to you, then u don't have
the 2 yr home residency rule. Therefore you don't need to get a waiver for
that.
I have a question for you: where did u transfer to F1? | a******n 发帖数: 26 | 3 I changed my status in the US from J1 to F1 in 03, went back to China in the
summer of 04 to get F1 visa. | e**d 发帖数: 750 | |
