发帖数: 191 | 1 楼主读了两个Master，中间用了一次OPT，地球人都知道这种情况一般第二个Master之
后木有OPT用了。不过。。。
楼主第一次OPT的EAD卡上日期： VALID FROM 08/11/10 EXPIRES 07/14/11, 楼主第二
个master 的学校 05/08/2011 给楼主发了新i-20，楼主07/11/2011 从第一个master
的学校正式转出seivs到第二个学校，楼主payroll记录到06/30/2011为止。
这种情况下：
EAD卡上的可工作日期不足一年（仅11个月)。
那么：
楼主能不能再次申请第二个OPT?
楼主还去问了学校ISSO负责的人，给了人家SEIVS ID 和学生证号，不过没主动说之前
读书的情况，学校负责的居然叫我提交申请材料。。。。。。
问题：
1. 楼主可不可以以之前OPT的EAD卡给的工作时间不足一年为由获批第二次OPT（哪怕只
有30天，第二个master是STEM专业，有这个30天可以去E-Verify)
2. 如果学校这边蒙过去了给我出了新的OPT I-20，是不是USCIS那边也可以过关? |

发帖数: 343 | 2 关键是看你第一个OPT你申的时候批了多久，如果批了12个月，你只用了3个月，就开始
念第二个ms之类的了，那也是12个月都没了。如果只批了3个月，那你第二个master之
后可能还能用剩下的。 |

我的EAD卡上有效期只有11个月，算不算批了11个月？

可以用剩下的27天OPT，我就需要27天，找个E-Verify 做STEM延期。

A: No. Once you apply for OPT and complete your program of study, the OPT
work eligibility is either used or not. There is no recapture of unused OPT
time.

发帖数: 343 | 7 不一定，有可能你申请的是12个月，但是手续什么的延迟，到手的就只有11个月了，常
有的事。怎么看可能只有下次申的时候才能知道。

date that is 11 months after the start date), then for another degree at the
same degree level he can apply next time for 1 month of OPT.

6.2. What are the restrictions on the requested end date for postcompletion
OPT?
The requested end date cannot be more than 12 months after the
requested start date. The end date may be sooner if the student has less
than 12 months of OPT left at the current education level or the student
wishes to retain a period of OPT for pre-or post-completion OPT for
another degree at the same education level.
The question here is whether he originally applied for 11 months of OPT or
12 months. He never said which one is the case. He only said that his EAD
card is valid for 11 months. However, maybe that could be caused by his
applying for OPT too close to his start date.
