s******2 发帖数: 98 | 1 I am planning to travel to France in the middle of March. Currently I have
the I-797 notice of action. After I got my I-797, I never leave US. I did
some homework on the board and found that I might need a valid visa in order
to get my French visa. I also checked with the embassy requirment, it says:
---------------------------------------
- A valid U.S. permanent residence card ("green card") or a valid US visa
with valid I-94 / valid I-20, or an Advance Parole document. We do not
accept applications from B1/B2 visa holders. They must apply in their
country of residence.
If the country of final destination is not the applicant’s country of
citizenship, please submit a valid visa, a resident permit, a work permit or
any other document showing that the applicant is allowed to enter or reside
in such country.
--------------------------------------
Is I-797 a type of work permit that I can use for the visa application?
Besides, can I apply for my US visa in France since I am going to stay in
France for about 3 weeks to 1 month.
Does anyone know these? Thank you very much. |
