“我开”是一个在美国注册的非营利性机构，旨在帮助中国边远山区的人们摆脱贫困。
我们将人们手中几块钱十几块钱的零钱集中起来，通过不超过4000美元的小型信贷方式
，贷款给中国农民，期望他们从中获得收益，改变生活。
Wokai is a non-profit organization that is committed to enabling people in
rural China to lift themselves from poverty. Wokai's online platform allows
people in US and Canada to contribute microloans to a specific impoverished
Chinese micro-entrepreneur, giving them the means to start their own
business and sustainably earn an income to support their families.
The way that Wokai works including:
1. Our Field Partners screen recipients and posts loan request online.
2. You browse, and choose your favorite recipient, and make a tax deductible
contribution on Wokai.org.
3. We transfer your loan to our Field Partners who distribute the loan to
your recipient.
4. You receive updates on repayment and progress as your borrower builds or
expands the business.
5. Once your borrower has completely repaid her loan, you can redistribute
to support someone new.
The DC chapter was recently launched this year in hopes to seed changes in
micro-financing by raising awareness and organizing events in the local
community to support Wokai. We are looking forward to seeing you at this
