Double Trouble was the rhythm section for influential bluesman Stevie Ray
Vaughan, with Chris Layton on drums and Tommy Shannon on bass.
The group's name comes from an Otis Rush song and was chosen after Vaughan,
bassist Jackie Newhouse, and Chris Layton formed a band together in 1978.[1]
Shannon joined the group in 1980, and he and Vaughan played together with
the group until Vaughan's death in 1990.
