7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE
很不错的一本书，节选一段。
PLEASE FIND A PLACE TO READ THESE NEXT FEW PAGES where you can be alone and
uninterrupted. Clear your mind of everything except what you will read and
what I will invite you to do.
Don’t worry about your schedule, your business, your family, or your
friends. Just focus with me and really open your mind.
In your mind’s eye, see yourself going to the funeral of a loved one.
Picture yourself driving to the funeral parlor or chapel, parking the car,
and getting out.
As you walk inside the building, you notice the flowers, the soft organ
music. You see the faces of friends and family you pass along the way.
You feel the shared sorrow of losing, the joy of having known, that radiates
from the hearts of the people there.
As you walk down to the front of the room and look inside the casket, you
suddenly come face to face with yourself.
This is your funeral, three years from today. All these people have come to
honor you, to express feelings of love and appreciation for your life. As
you take a seat and wait for the services to begin, you look at the program
in your hand. There are to be four speakers.
The first is from your family, immediate and also extended—children,
brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents
who have come from all over the country to attend.
The second speaker is one of your friends, someone who can give a sense of
what you were as a person.
The third speaker is from your work or profession.
And the fourth is from your church or some community organization where you
’ve been involved in service.
Now think deeply. What would you like each of these speakers to say about
you and your life? What kind of husband, wife, father, or mother would you
like their words to reflect? What kind of son or daughter or cousin? What
kind of friend? What kind of working associate? What character would you
like them to have seen in you? What contributions, what achievements would
you want them to remember? Look carefully at the people around you. What
difference would you like to have made in their lives?

这本书我也买了好多年了，一直看不进去，最近突然喜欢上了。
好的心理学和佛学的共同点在于，很多思维方法相同，并且有启发性，
不同点在于，观的层次和观的对象不同。深度达不到。
所以我也感到自己在借鉴他的方法，挺不错的；而在处理的内容上，不尽相同。

而是通过一种视角来“自己看自己”，因为人都不是孤立的，
所以他提供的一个自我了解的视角就是“通过别人看自己”。
他重点是要看自己，在结束时看。
Begin With end in mind, 有系统设计的意思。
讲的是，任何事情要想成就，都要经过两次创造，
第一次要大致想清楚要做什么，第二次才是具体实施。
避免life drifting without a purpose。

，很多宗教的教导里面都是相通的

其实所谓的眼光，就是大概知道生活应该是个什么样子，
Gates,Jobs当年提到的每个人都有电脑，信息在每个人的finger上。
都是有个蓝图的。
（End 就是蓝图的意思，可以是生活的蓝图，或社会的蓝图）
马云当年18罗汉发家，开始探讨的也是“我们到底要玩出个什么东西”。
也是这个意思。
而宗教界里的End，图景更广阔。
最近庄子的那句话又跳到脑袋里：我生也有涯，而学也无涯，以有涯随无涯，殆矣。
这个终极picture(End), 就告诉人们，不能靠追求知识的数量而获得完满的生命。
追到最后，还是个“有限/无限=零”。
呼噜呼噜发Paper, 不是生命的正解。
方向一定在别的地方。

教育领域里最近很流行的Backward instructional design，无非是借用工程界早就有
的设计理念，说白了就是begin with the end in mind。
不过design的另一个特点就是iterations，不停的尝试/犯错，然后修改；再尝试/犯错
，再修改。:P

在初期入门，不可能有很清晰的整体概念，也不知道最后要搞出个什么东西，
所以初入门的人，都没有概念，只能是做些小模块，都是bottom up的思路，
这会儿是比较苦闷的。
只有具备了一定经验和眼光，才能走top down的路子。
大企业家，科学家，都是走的top down的路子，所谓高屋建瓴，成竹在胸，
就是已经有系统设计了，剩下的就是“具体实现”了。
如果视同用轮回来解释“为什么有些人生来就是企业家盖兹乔布斯，生来就是莫扎特”，
那是因为他们已经做过N辈子这种事情了，心里很清楚在干什么。
不过也有差别：
工业界，教育界和佛教界的差别在于：
佛教讲的是人生的设计：人生怎样过才算“值得”。这个值得，是在佛教的世界观下才
能谈的。
而工业界，教育界，基本上是忽略人生，而只关注“机器的设计”。
至于人一辈子为什么要设计这么个、那么个机器，大学教育基本上是不管的，
实际上，就是避免深究的。大家都尽量回避，
人要问老师这类问题，他也叹气，别人给他钱让他教这个，他就教这个了么。
要深究，他也头疼。

佛法说的内道和外道的差别，是在方向上。而方法上其实是有很多可以借鉴的。

而这个系统的终极图像（end) 涵盖的内容越广泛，这个合理性、包容性就越强。
佛教有佛教的世界观，如果用佛教的动辄几十亿年生命的世界观来衡量，
那么普通人的是世界观，就像秋虫，草木一秋而已。
动辄“主席万岁”，在天人看来岂不是可笑，
这些人，想来想去，也就想到一万年，就这还高兴的要死，以为不得了了。呵呵。

每个领域都是这样，已经有经验的人就心里清楚，初学者就心里不清楚。
不清楚的人做事情，效率就低。因为他的有用功和无用功分不清，
做很多无用功。方向还经常变。
在商业上说，史玉柱（不说他目标是否好，只说他手段的效率）当年说，
做企业你要奖励功劳，不要奖励苦劳。
在佛教里，外道之所以是外道，不是他们不努力，而是做的都是无用功。
他们天天苦行，怎么能说不努力。
但是其实他们还是懒汉，只想用身，不想用心。
亨利.福特就说这些只干活不用心思维的人都是懒汉。
人家目标清楚，方法明白的人，那叫“打铁”；
目标不清楚、方法不明白的人，虽然有样学样，叮叮当当很热闹、很用劲，其实只是“
砸铁”。
