take this leadership opportunity to grow him blah blah blah,也就是说让我

401 | 3 Many many thanks! I think your recommendations make a lot of sense.
My questions are:
1. should I get agreement from my boss on such a detailed plan?
2. is such plan too pushy? What if he escalates the plan to boss? That may
leave negative impact on my leadership scoreboard

manager. even an official team lead or manager wouldn't do such textbook
principles.
my previous company had something like what you said every 6 months and
everybody hated it.
every week? that junior guy would want to kill himself.

| f**n 发帖数: 401 | 5 Thank you for your feedback. I certainly do not want to fall in the scenario
of being hated by everyone. That's part of my concern. But what are my
options?
1. pretend to work with the junior guy: (silently) take care of the core job
and leave the junior with some marginal ones. get the job done
I do not like this option because I do not want to waste my own time
doing this time-consuming task.
2. complain to boss that the junior guy is too inexperienced to do anything
meaningful. Ask bo

| u*******r 发帖数: 2855 | 6 maybe every company has its own way or culture to manage people, so does
every boss :) I think the difference here is that you can get the job done
and meet the deadline most of the time but the junior guy cannot...
you are also welcome to give your suggestions

the second option again and again, because it would ruin my own reputation
eventually
if it's a one-time deal, you can try to be nice and choose option 1
if it's gonna happen again in the future, you getta work out your own way
and improve your skills with your experience
scenario
job
time
anything

he doesn't want to give others the impression that he's incapable of doing
the job assigned to him. he would rather suffer from trial and error by
himself.
talk to him. let him know he is not expected to know everything and
accomplish
everything by himself. maybe share with him your experience as a newbie in
this company. the sooner he starts to ask you real questions the sooner
you 2 can both make progress.
always keep y
