还有希望保持身份吗？转f1/B2?
明年就h1b第六年了，及时找到工作也只能干一年了吧，filing perm for gc takes
long time。。。

工作的时间还能长一点，不然的话得赶紧转身份，除非你觉得能在你身份过期之前找到
工作。如果没递过绿卡申请的话可以转成f1这类的非移民签证，要是已经递了140的话
就只有找工作这条路了。 |

正在转f1......不过语言学校说要i94过期前30天才能办，还有这个说法?
如果公司不withdraw我能挺多久啊？

3-yr extension which puts him in a much better position. Plus he gets to
keep his PD. So under this circumstance as long as he finds a new job he's
fine.
In his current situation though, he'd be faced with the H1 6-year limit
issue even after he successfully changes his status to F1 and comes back on
h1 status after he finds a job.
It's nothing more than probation on a death sentence, unless he marries
someone who can s

ineffective the moment he is laid? In this case, 3-yr extension doesn't
matter unless you can find another job right way. But to overcome the status
gap, he can do less with 140 filed (if he's married he's better) since F1 is not a
choice. If he's single, there isn't much he can do other then finding
another job ASAP. And not until then his 3-yr extension is useless.
