I published only a few papers till now, so I think they are not enough for
green card application. May I publish what I do in a company into the paper?
Will it help the green card application?

你可以自己用电脑模拟计算点。我自己都是这么搞的。发了40多篇。Eb1a和Eb1b都下来
了。

文章发了很多。40多个。几乎都是第一作者。现在绿卡拿到了。我发表文章的速度也慢
下来了。将近2.5个月发表一片。
我同时还给13个杂志做审稿人。Eb1a和Eb1b都批了。最后拿到两个绿卡。是两个不同的
移民账号。不是一个卡给了两份。所以我一个人最终占用了今年的两个绿卡名额。
整个经历比较折腾。不过一切都过去了。

一般说来要打擦边球。如果你在公司，你要是刚毕业一年左右。发表文章的时候把你的
学校，现在的公司都写上。这个是为了将来公司的人有人问你。就就说这些都是上学的
时候的东西。如果你毕业已经很久了，比如2年以上，你就写现在的公司。但是有一点
要记住，发表的东西不要和现在的工作有直接的关系。因为：
（1）如果有直接的关系，别人就会用theft来形容你。
（2）如果没有关系，顶多他们说你业余时间做了其他东西。
另外，你要是申请NIW，文章有几个就够了。你挂现在的公司都没有关系。但是你要是
申请Eb1a 和Eb1b，文章的数量要很多才行。且不说公司的人会找你麻烦，说你用了很
多时间做别的，然后要fire你。你有没有这个能力达到Eb1a和Eb1b的要求，都很难
说。
不管如何，都祝福你早日成功。记住一点，将来投稿，写文章。千万不要告诉你周围
的人。

发帖数: 1638 | 11 what I can tell you is that: after your graduation, you will be out of
control by yourself. You will be like a lonely boat that will drift to any
direction from your surrounding, not controlled by yourself.
remember, your PhD study is the last shield in your life. You have no
control over your behavior after your graduation.
As I mentioned above, if you are only going for NIW, you will will be fine,
as NIW only needs a few papers.
Also, dont believe their promise. They encourage you to publish, but this
does not mean they like you to do that. The reason is very obvious, the
target of company is to make money, not for publication.
