you to any geographical location just like you have every option to take it

这个想太多了，大哥。公司的合同都是AT WILL 的。楼主不指望拿relocation package
, 更何况是辞职。当然可以直说，而且可以看看是否公司可以re-negotiate。
楼主已经拿到新的OFFER， 自己利益最大化就好，完全可以和公司协商。

和你贴当然有关啊，离职为啥不能告诉公司你不想relocate。如果是觉得老板同事不好
离职，还可以隐瞒一下理由，因为不想relocate 离职完全可以直说。如果MANAGER 不
想留你，无非是报告给HR，想留你的老板可能还能帮你争取一下（如果你自己也想留的
话）。

所以，“不愿意relocate去另一个州”是各种建议中最坏的。
你举的例子不是例子。如果你manager曾经信誓旦旦的说不会lay off 你，后来把你lay
off了。只要你有证据，诉赔偿，100%必赢！可能那本身就是你的想象，不会有哪个
manager会许诺下属不会lay off，整个美国，你听说过几个公司有终身职位？

你一定会说：我为什么那么傻，要写字据？那为什么楼主要写字据证实自己不守信用？
