This is perfect for tearing apart and putting into a Xbox 360 4GB slim model.
Why pay $100 for a new 250GB when you can have a 120GB for $10?
I recently bought the 4GB Xbox 360 slim only to find out that it will NOT
play the old Xbox games (even the ones that are compatible) without an HD.
Well, I didn't want to pay $100 for a HD just play some old Xbox games, so I
did a little hunting. I found this deal at Microcenter, but it was IN
STORE PICKUP ONLY. I could not even place a hold on one.
I walked into my Microcenter and they had 20+ of these left. I brought it
home, took it apart with Torx drivers, and popped it into the slim and BAM!
it works like a charm. I don't know if 120GB is enough for you, but I think
it should be fine for most people. Best thing is that it is an official
Microsoft drive so you don't have to fuss with the HD itself. If you want
you can order a slim HD case on-line for a few bucks and that will keep the
HD from "floating" in the bay although it seems to work fine without it.
