This would be a great companion for your tablet or phone that is capable of
outputing to HDMI for a fraction of the price you'd normally pay from the
carrier or manufacturer. It lists several models that it's compatible with
but this is defined as a spec so it's a fair bet that it'd work for any
device that lists "output to TV" using MHL.
It appears they're recommending a 24awg HDMI cable for use with this box but
I'd argue that's way overkill and you'd be just fine with a 28awg cable.
The thicker gauge might matter for some applications, but you shouldn't need
anything longer than 3'. HDMI is all digital over fairly low voltage so you
'll either have a sigal or you won't but get whatever cable you believe is
best. I'd personally go with 28awg because it's a lot more flexible as well,
24awg is a fair bit stouter than these other lighter cables

A note about these HDMI cables , if by some miracle you've been on SD for
less than a week or haven't thought to purchase them anywhere but Best Buy,
Monoprice is very well known for dirt cheap quality cables. Yes you should
feel confident a $2.50 cable will perform every bit as well as it's $25
Monster Cable counterpart.
