发帖数: 60932 | 1 I played hookie from work yesterday since my kids were off from school and
we took a ride down to Asbury Park. AB is undergoing a resurgence and I had
heard about a pinball museum there, so I wanted to show my kids some old
style arcade games. What I didn't know was that you can actually play all
of the games for free with admission to the museum.
We bought hourly passes for $10 each, but my kids were having so much fun
and didn't want to leave. For $10 more, $20 total, you can get a daily pass
and come and go as you want. We played for a few hours and then to a place
to grab some dinner and then returned later on and played for a few more
hours. The place is open until midnight on the weekend, but we left ~ 8:30.
This place has about 200 classic pinball machines in great condition from
the 30s to the present with info about each machine posted on top. I found
my all time favorite Royal Flush and proceeded to give it a good spanking
after an hour or so of warmup. Amazing that it all came back after so many
years of little or no playing. They also have a handful of video favorites
such as Pac Man, Centipede, Asteroids, and Galaga (spanked that one too
The $20 all day price is the normal price, although there are some days when
they have specials. Not sure if this is truly a Hot Deal because it is
always available, but I can't think of any place where we had so much fun
for a day for $20 + food. It was interesting that my kids enjoyed it so
much being that they are addicted to our Wii. We will definitiely be going
back as I was not quite able to turn over Royal Flush.
