Groupon or LivingSocial deal. Here's how:
1. Go to www.fandango.com:
http://www.fandango.com
2. Click on Showtimes > Showtimes & Theaters
3. Near the top of the screen, you will see a Fandango ticket logo and "
Special Offer:
Get a Fandango Ticket. See How" with the words "FREE TICKET" to the right.
Click the link.
4. Under "Offers by category" on the left, click on "Local Deals". Then
click on "Instant offers only" on the top.
5. You will see a number of Groupon and LivingSocial offers displayed. The
particular offers you will see are for your geographic area and are based
on your IP Address.
6. Click the "Continue" link next to the offer that interests you, and
complete your purchase.
7. Go back to the previous tab or screen you were on, which listed all the
Local Deals. The screen will now say "Welcome back to TrialPay" and ask if
you completed the offer. Click "Yes - Check Offer Status".
8. You will have instantly been credited and will see your free Fandango
movie code on the screen! (You may need to hit refresh a few times, but it
took less than a minute for me after purchasing a Groupon). They will also
e-mail you a link to retrieve your free movie ticket.
I went to see the new Harry Potter movie last night. I wanted to purchase
advance tickets through Fandango so I would be guaranteed a seat in the
theater and wouldn't have to wait on line to buy tickets. I didn't want to
pay the $11.00 per ticket cost on Fandango though.
Instead there was a Local Deal that was displayed for me for a Groupon that
cost only $6.00. I bought the Groupon for $6.00 and got the free Fandango
movie code. I did have to pay a $1.50 Fandango convenience charge per
ticket, but my cost per ticket was $7.50 instead of $11.00.
I am an existing Groupon customer so I know this deal is not limited to new
members. It is also not limited to one per person. After purchasing the $6.
00 Groupon and getting the free Fandango code, I immediately purchased a
second of the same Groupon offer and instantly received a second Fandango
code. I entered both Fandango codes on my 2 ticket order and saved $7.00 on
my tickets, plus got 2 Groupons which I may or may not use.
I e-mailed TrialPay customer support and asked if there was a way to display
Local Deals outside my own geographic area. The rep said that the deals
you see are based on your IP address, but that you could click to change the
Groupon or LivingSocial social city, select a deal in a different city, and
that you will still receive instant credit for the free Fandango movie
ticket.
If you use a Daily Deal aggregator site such as urlhasbeenblocked:

, you can see a compilation of many daily deals throughout the country. In
the Search box, type "groupon" or "livingsocial" and change the Display to
100 deals. Scroll through the list and see which one is least expensive.
Yesterday there were Groupons being offered in various cities for just $4.00
. I could have purchased those instead of the $6.00 Groupon and still
receive the free Fandango movie ticket...
Or purchase a Groupon or LivingSocial deal that really interests you (a
great one yesterday was $25 for $50 worth of Nordstrom Rack) and get a free
Fandango movie ticket every time. Either way, I think this is a great deal!
