There is a lack on information on the model because it seems to be a black
friday special. You can see it listed as a black friday special on the
samsung website for 1299 (so it's already 100 bucks cheaper than samsung

From my research it is a 2010 model, and it is likely to buzz significantly
if you live well above sea level (this is my research if I'm wrong, I
apologize.) The PN58C550 is extremely energy efficient according to
consumer reports (I believe it was $58/YR which is on par with LEDs).
While this TV is extremely bare I'm sure it runs on the same engine as the
PN58C550. TO my knowledge the difference between this and their higher end
model is "Dynamic Contrast Ratio 5mil vs 2mil", internet apps, hdmi inputs.
This TV ONLY has 3 HDMI inputs, for me this isn't a big deal since it all
goes through my receiver.
