However, I think this is very very important and want everyone who has
ordered from Sears.com to check their credit card history.
Let me keep it short:
Lot of times Sears.com has too good to be true deals and we jump on it. Most
of the times to find the orders canceled or just left in limbo (i.e., if
you log in to your sears.com account, the orders are still in "open orders"
section).
One example of a slickdeal at Sears.com that got canceled
Well, what I found was that Sears actually charges our credit cards and even
though the order/s get canceled they don't really refund the money back to
the credit card!!!! Yes, I had placed the above order for the Disney high
chair on March 15th and it was canceled. Just last week (Dec 20th) I was
checking my yearly expenses and came across this charge from Sears. I went
back and checked all my statements from March till December and figured that
I never got a refund for it. In fact, there was another order that was
charged and canceled but refund was not made.
I called Sears and asked about these two orders. After checking on her
system the lady over the phone told me that these orders were canceled. I
asked her about the status of the refund and she agreed that refunds were
not made. She was proficient that she took care of it and refund was posted
to my credit card account withing 3 days.
I would advise everyone to do the same in case you had any orders that were
canceled from Sears.com or any orders that you did not pick up after
ordering and were automatically canceled.
