Benny & Joon, Johnny depp shows a lot of talent in this movie
in a movie he play the role of modern Dan Juan. havn't seen it yet.

I watched it. marlone brando was in it too. he is as cool as he always is.
I recommend Donnie Brasco. he is a undercover detective in the movie with
Al pacino(my another favourite). they r perfect.
Also, Ed Wood directed by Tim Burton is excellent.

also the gay man detained by IRA and killed by a APC in the crying game.
the movie was like a book about fengshui. it tried to interpret oriental
phylosophy from a western guy's eyes and is inevitablly stupid and pointless.

主演擅长用武士刀所以他的表演并不全是装模作样,这是他为什么
被选中的一个原因.导演是一个对东方哲学至少很感兴趣的,同样
影片音乐的制作者也是由一个对东方艺术一直感兴趣的乐队.名字忘了.
如果说一个西方导演试图阐述一种东方哲学就是愚昧无聊,那我不知道
我们在这里聊西方电影算作什么.

fully aware of my, ignorance as you already pointed out, towards "western
philosophy" (if they have any). so at least I won't direct a movie to
"interprete" western philosophy unless i know what i'm talking about. (if any
