标 题: Trading Radar: Despite the Holidays, This Week Will Be Key for the Rally

Tomorrow will be a very short week for traders in the US. On Tuesday, equity
markets will close for trading at 1 p.m. and will remain closed the
following day for the July 4 holidays.
Some important factors will affect trading next week. On Thursday, the ECB
will announce its monthly rate decision. It is possible that it will decide
to announce a new plan to coincide with the EU's summit release. The Bank of
England will report its monthly decision on the same day, with an asset
purchase increase of 50 billion Pounds widely expected. Germany, the savior
of Europe, will have key manufacturing data that needs to show growth as to
not derail the rally.
In the US, last month the manufacturing Prices Paid data showed a very
deflationary move. If the market can shrug off negative data like this, a
new bull wave may be in store. On Friday is the all important nonfarm
payrolls data. Currently, job growth has been declining over the past three
months. Another poor performance has the potential to break the rally's back.
It will be a light week for earnings before the season kicks into high gear
the week after. Major reports include Acuity Brands (AYI) and Xyratex (XRTX)
