You've just come through two major eclipses last month, a solar eclipse on
June 1, and a full moon lunar eclipse on June 15, and both almost forced you
to focus exclusively on money. Among the financial topics on your mind
include finding a way to appropriate funds more wisely, as well as another
pressing matter, how to find ways to earn a bigger salary. A source of
income is about to change dramatically, either immediately or within the
coming eighteen months. As I wrote last month, however, it's possible the
company you work for now will merge with another, and that may explain why
your "source" will change, even if you never changed jobs - there may be a
new company issuing you your check.
Eclipses usually bring surprise events, so whatever came up may have come
out of left field. You may have been thinking about a major financial action
, such as an impending divorce or how to cover a child support agreement.
You may be having a tax audit or working on a business plan to raise venture
capital. You may have heard about an inheritance, were busy filling out
papers for a scholarship or university financial aid, or were preparing for
a court case about money. All sorts of money matters could have been on your
mind last month, and likely still are. The universe will give you time to
sort through any of these issues. The time these matters will come up as a
major focus will be at the next two eclipses in Sagittarius-Gemini, November
26 and December 10.

always keep the previous month's report posted for you to read. You will
find the link to last month's report sandwiched under the Dates to Note at
the very bottom of this report, just before you get to the PS of my monthly
announcements. If you scroll down, you will see where to click, as we
recently made the link easier to see.
There will be an additional emphasis on money now, however, because Mars,
your ruler, entered Gemini on June 20, to stay throughout July, until August
3. Mars will focus you intently on financial matters this month and will
make you more determined to find solutions. Mars is, after all, the warrior
planet - courageous, strong, and powerful!
Mars has been raising your expenses lately and will continue to do so
through July, so you may feel like you are short of cash. This will only be
in place this month, but in that time your rising expenses will intensify
your determination to make more money, which in itself is not a bad thing.
Mars will move over the same degree of the June 1 eclipse on July 6, so you
may hear good news about "other people's money" (the kind I listed above) at
that time. July 6 could be a very telling day, so keep your antenna up -
give this day a plus or minus of two days.
Right on the heels of this day, one of your most spectacular financial days
of the year will arrive a day later, on July 7, when Pluto, your other
ruling planet, will reach out to Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. You
may be signing a contract on this day (perfect!) or make a big sale. Or, you
may open a business then, or see victory on a deal you have been working on
for some time. With Jupiter in your seventh house now, a partner, agent,
lawyer, or other collaborator could easily be part of your success. There is
also some indication that you might need to travel a short distance to see
a client / partner face-to-face, a good idea.
Another day that will be tied to last month's eclipses will be July 26, when
Mars will touch the same degree as the June 15 eclipse. This eclipse
focused on your weekly salary, so there may be another development on that
score. For example, if you lost a source of income last month, you may have
an offer on or near July 26, or at least get a tip about a job you can
interview for. See what comes up, but news will be tied to discussions that
happened on or near the total eclipse of the moon, June 15.
Two eclipses would be enough to keep you busy from dawn to dusk, but here
comes another one.
The third eclipse will arrive July 1, a solar eclipse in Cancer, falling in
your ninth house of ideas, concepts, attitude, dogma, and philosophy, among
other things. This eclipse may have you view a situation or relationship in
a whole new way. Your Scorpio nature is considered fixed, so it takes a lot
to get you to change your perspective, but something that happens on July 1
may help you do that. See what event comes up, and listen closely with an
open mind to all that is said.
The same house that will be brilliantly lit by the eclipse rules the taking
in and dispersal of information, namely through publishing, broadcasting,
Internet and digital media, university study and instruction, and even
through the court system. One of these areas may prove critical to your
progress this month. Travel may be in the cards, too, because the ancient
astrologers felt that travel was an excellent source of learning and
enlightenment. See what comes up - you might have an important international
trip or offer to do trade or work in a foreign country at this time. The
problem with this moon is that it is surrounded with difficult aspects.
The problem with this July 1 eclipse is that it brings with it a plethora of
angry planets that are unable to cooperate with each other, all in very
insistent cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn).
Someone may be very domineering toward you this month, almost forcing you to
accept terms you find unacceptable and unfair. This is due to Pluto in
Capricorn, opposed to the Sun in Cancer. As a Scorpio, you are excellent
when negotiating difficult situations like this, so you may have to push
back and use all your wits to maneuver things more to your favor. If you
were to sign a contract on or very close to July 1, you would not see
longevity from this deal. Wait until July 7 to sign, no sooner. I am not
enthusiastic about a start date of July 1.
Meanwhile, at the same time, Uranus in Aries could cause disruption in your
day-to-day workflow. One or two key co-workers, assistants, or other
underlings (it could even be a person you hire at home, like a babysitter or
housekeeper) may leave for any number of reasons. You'll have to keep
things going with less than the right number of workers. Uranus will oppose
Saturn in Libra, suggesting there may be some political undercurrents
causing problems. As a Scorpio, you may view others' petty political plots
and gripes as time away from the really important, necessary issues that you
need to focus on, so all this may be only frustrating background music. I
agree, you should keep your eye on what matters.
What we all have in July is a solar eclipse that is part of a cardinal cross
of planets. This happens when you have at least four planets in each one of
the cardinal signs of Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, all within a
certain tight mathematical tolerance, forming a cross pattern from all four
corners of the sky. This is a rare event, especially at eclipse time, and
one known to bring tension. Certainly it will bring dramatic world news, so
if you work in journalism, don't expect a quiet week at the start of July by
any means.
The positive side to all this is that cardinal planets are very much in a
rush to create change and improvement. If something is broken or causing a
problem, it won't be possible to put things off any longer. You won't be
able to talk your way out of things - you will need a blueprint and a plan
of action. Anything outworn or no longer of value will fall away, so you
will easily see the wink links. Cardinal planets in a cross pattern are very
energetic and they tend to show what they find very quickly - news will be
subtle, but rather obvious and delivered in a forceful way. As said earlier,
you will see a lot of dramatic news on TV during the first week of July, as
the whole world will be feeling this energy.
Protect your health near July 1, as you will be under strain. With Uranus in
your sixth house of health, and Pluto, your ruler, drawn into the
conversation of the cardinal cross, you may feel drained. If there is a
latent problem you either didn't know about or brushed aside, you may need
to seek medical advice. No problem is too small to attend to at eclipse time
, so don't feel shy asking a doctor to check you out.
If you need surgery, don't put things off. (Dental concerns are grouped
under "surgery" as well.) Of course, you may not see anything wrong, for
only a very small percent of Scorpios will have a health concern, but I need
to raise this possibility. If you catch things early, you can be back to
feeling great in no time.
If your birthday falls on November 1, or within five days of this date, you
will feel the energy of the July 1 eclipse, and although you may feel some
pressure, you will also be in the very best position to benefit from all
that happens, for the eclipse will be in very supportive angle to your natal
Sun, no small advantage.
The full moon of July 15 should be a bright spot. I cannot see everything in
your chart, but barring any unusual aspects in your chart, you should be
able to reach accord on a contract that you may sign at this time.
Even the most difficult problems that may have come up earlier should be
more easily resolved at this time, plus or minus five days from July 15. You
may be taking a short trip on that day, or the ensuing weekend of July 16-
17, a good time to go.
If your birthday falls on November 14, or within five days of this date, you
will benefit from this full moon.
In case you think that's all that could possibly happen in July - there's
more!
My favorite part of the month will come at the month's second new moon, July
30, to light the most important career portion of your chart, your tenth
house of honors, awards, and fame. If you hope to find an important new
position, this new moon will be your friend, for it will open opportunities
that you've long hoped to see. Any new position you take as a result of
offers that arise from this new moon would represent a much better job, not
just a lateral move to a job similar to the one you had before.
This new moon is in Leo, a sign associated with the entertainment industry
in the wide spectrum that would involve theatre, music, movies, dance,
comedy, and any other way you can view that field. Leo also rules teachers
and all matters related to children, from toys, books, and programming to
clothing and childcare. Finally, Leo also rules the luxury market, from
yachts to estates, champagne to diamonds - you get the idea. You may find
that one of these areas that Leo rules will become very fortunate for you
now.
I am particularly excited about this new moon of July 30 as Jupiter (good
fortune) will send a shimmering beam to Pluto, your planetary ruler and
guardian planet, in your house of communication. Jupiter is now in your
house of partner/ representative / collaborator. This suggests a middleman
such as your agent, headhunter, broker, lawyer, or other go-between will
bring you a golden opportunity. Mercury will also be involved and help you
from your eleventh house, so a friend may initially set things in motion or
act as a reference to help you. With a golden triangle appearing in the sky
at this time, you are in time for amazing professional luck.
There is one element you need to add to the mix this month. Mercury is about
to be retrograde from August 2 to 26, and you can't agree to anything in
August. Readers often ask me if they can be the exception to the rule, but
alas, it's not up to me - it's up to the universe! There is no getting
around this rule! Deals and decisions made while Mercury is retrograde
almost always turn out to be disastrous. With a gorgeous new moon in your
career sector on July 30, you can interview for a new job, but not accept it
(verbally or in writing) or start until September. Good jobs take time to
be awarded, so you likely won't be offered the job immediately anyway.
The only exception to the rule is if the offer comes from a former boss or
colleague that you've known well for years - in that respect you are not
starting a new relationship but continuing an ongoing one. In that case, and
that case only, you can accept the new job or opportunity. In truth I would
be happier if you did all your key initiations in September.
If you need to buy something expensive like a house, a car, a computer, or
kitchen appliance (as some examples), you must either do so in July or wait
until September. Don't wait until the end of July either - you will want to
keep some good distance from the onset date of the retrograde, August 2.
Romantically, if single, your next relationship may be your best. You have
Neptune, the ruler of your fifth house of love, in your fifth house of love,
in Pisces, giving it special weight now that Neptune is touring its own
home base sign of Pisces. From now on, your relationships will be more
passionate, poetic, and lyrical and you will be less inclined to be
analytical in love - you will just let things happen!
If you are attached, you too will receive more attention. No matter what
your status, Neptune's coming fourteen years will be your cup of tea.
Things are starting to change, and so the future for your love life is
bright. If you are attached, Jupiter's entry to your house of marriage last
month for the first time in 12 years is a sign that it's time to commit your
love. Jupiter will remain in this house until June 2012. Dear Scorpio, it's
now or never!
This month, with Venus in divine-for-you Cancer, dear Scorpio, your
magnetism will be high from July 4 to 4 to 27.
Your most romantic evenings will be July 4, 7, 9-10, 15, 18, 19, 23, 24, 27,
and 29.

Over the past couple of years, you've had an unusually strong emphasis on
foreign people and places, as well as publishing and broadcasting industries
. Perhaps one of these areas has proven to be important for you. Legal
matters are also accented, so you may have been focused on a court case,
trademarked a name, applied for a patent, or have been involved in some sort
of contractual negotiation.
All these areas will become activated at the solar eclipse (a new moon),
July 1. Pluto will oppose that new moon, so clearly, you'll feel pressure
from someone, possibly an adversary or detractor, to accept his or her "
offer," which will feel more like a demand. Some political behind-the-scenes
intrigue may be at play too, due to the position of Saturn and Uranus. Keep
your armor on, even if you assume you don't need it. Chances are, you will.
Fortunately, as a Scorpio you understand power plays and are usually at
least three steps ahead of the opposition.
If you do have problems, hold out until you get to July 7, your best day of
the month, when your ruler, Pluto, will receive beautiful vibrations from
Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck.
The full moon in Cancer will help you, July 15, for it will be very friendly
to your Sun. As tensions die down, you may be surprised how things begin to
turn to your favor. Of course, nothing will happen without your direct
involvement, but if you make an effort to show your intentions, you may be
surprised by a more pleasant outcome - one that may offer profit, too.
Your sister or brother may be making news in your life near the July 15 full
moon, too. In fact, with travel being so highlighted at this time, you may
be on the road to visit a sibling.
Free of the heavy tensions of the early part of July, by late month you will
be able to turn your focus on your career.
The new moon, July 30, will be spectacular for professional matters. Get
your ducks in a row and be ready to launch a career campaign to gain higher
status once that new moon appears, July 30. This will be your best moment of
the year to start interviews and for you to make it known you are ready for
more responsibility. Mercury is about to retrograde in early August, so set
your sights to autumn as the time to accept your new position. When Mars
enters your career zone too, from September 18 to November 11, your search
for the right new position will reach greatest momentum.
Scorpio Dates to Note

July 7 is due to be one of your most spectacular of the month, possibly of

An interesting assignment, new piece of business, or offer for a promotion
could come up suddenly July 27.
Best time to get a new position, start your campaign on the new moon: July
30.
Venus will enter your reputation sector from July 28 to August 21 and will
