VET 指示我喂 Science Diet C/D, 我的猫本身也不喜欢吃, 愁死!

I had a cat that was diagnosed with kidney stones/urine crystals so I put
him on Science Diet C/D to help avoid these issues. I put all my cats on it
since I free feed. My 19-year old Siamese cat started showing signs of
constipation, but I didn't know what could be causing it or that it was even
a major problem until it was too late. By the time I figured it out, it was
too late and he had to be put down. I was thinking it had something to do
with his age until another cat started showing signs of constipation.
Although my vet does not agree that the Science Diet cat food had anything
to do with it,
I find it extremely odd that both cats developed constipation problems.
I am now trying to find a cat food that will help with the kidney stones/
crystal problem and help with the constipation. I now have to give frequent
doses of Miralax to my cat so he can poop.

Someone should investigate the nutritional adequacy of Science Diet canned
and dry cat food. I strongly suspect that this food gave my cats cancer and
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. My cats suffered terribly and endured painful
and expensive medical procedures. I had three cats at the same time: 2 of
them had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and 2 of them had cancer. What are the
odds? All three died young for cats (one at age 5, two at age 9). On the
other hand, my cats fed with Fancy Feast lived into their upper teens in
good health and had shiny coats.

I have had many cats which were raised on science diet, one which lived to
be 25. I have had my younger cats on SD also but have noticed the fur on
them turning white, one which is a Havana Brown. The fur started turning
white about one week ago today. SD is on sale now at PetSmart but I'm not
gong to buy it. I know the food is lacking something and with the price and
risk it's not going to be worth the consequences.

I've been feeding my 8-yr. old cat Science Diet for cats hairball control
for a month now and she seemed to be fine up until 2 weeks ago. She started
vomiting a few minutes after she ate. It never ever occurred to me it could
be her food. I just thought, I have to take her to the vet. I let my bust
life style get in the way and never took her to the vet. Then my husband and
I went on vacation this past week only to come home and find she had went
in a corner of our closet and urinated and died. Our friend who was looking
after her said she didn't seem like herself and was just sleeping all the
time and kept vomiting. We haven't had proper sleep yet. I feel so ill for
neglecting and not taking her to the vet.

发帖数: 1303 | 12 不怕，我前阵子也在愁这个问题，还一度想把wellness core给转掉算了。后来狠下心
，坚决不给science diet，不吃就饿着。
饿了几天，它再也撑不住了，开始吃core，虽然吃起来感觉不那么香，呵呵！总结就是
要狠心～

好在我家这个才吃了一袋不到。
他在breeder家是science diet和Eukanub混起来吃的
Eukanub这个牌子的干粮怎么样啊 |

话说wellness core是不是不分adult和kitten啊

发帖数: 6829 | 17 可以的。wellness core和evo都是全猫粮，大小猫都可以吃。因为蛋白质含量很高，不
怕小猫营养不够。大猫就是要注意控制量，热量高容易胖。
