could anyone help me with how to set up?
what do i need, IP webcam, wireless internet, software, and how to set up?
I want to monitor backyard from work, have chickens in the yard.

发帖数: 5739 | 3 I have two ip cams from the same brand. setup should be the same, but I am
not sure how far this cam could see. the set up is relative easy if you
know what u doing.
if you want to monitor thru internet, u first need a static IP address. if
you use att, they might provide static ip address. u can check by writing
down ur ip address, reboot ur modem and see if the address changes. if not
then u r good. if it changes, u need to rent a domain name address, usually
$20/yr.
when u set up ur ip cam, u install the software that came along. after
connecting the camera and ur computer thru the same network, u should detect
the camera in the program. set up the camera in the program. when u get
to the wireless section, fill in the correct wireless encryption mode and
password u have in ur wireless modem. this is important since if either one
is not correct, u can't see ur camera from internet. when it gets to the
port forwarding, u should set it as something between like 8000 to 9000 so
that ur normal port forward would not interfere with the camera, say 8099.
after setting up the port forwarding, u should go to ur modem and go to DMZ
setting where the firewall is. choose the ip camera hardware and set it to
allow port forward thru 8099 so that ur firewall won't block the camera. I
think since ur camera is password protected, so this is ok, besides noone
knows ur address anyway.
Now after all this, on the internet, if ur ip address is 12.34.56.78, then
type in 12.34.56.78:8099, u should be able to get to ur ip camera program.
fill in ur user name and password u should be able to get to ur camera
