in US, the definition of "local" is quite different
even you have the same area code, eg 716, you can still be
billed as "regional call" (billed by minute) and "local" (which
is flat rate)
so what I guess is realplayer must have called a regional number,
which is billed by minutes, maybe like 5 cents per minute,
but i guess realplayer probably spent a lot of time on line.
this is too bad, check the phone bill again ba
try to complain and argue with the phone company,
