CLUSTERING，FAILOVER，应该不用改应用程序，FAILOVER应该是内部的，CLIENT看不出来
DATABASE MIRRORING 比如我有SERVER1-DB1 PRINCIPAL，SERVER2-DB1 MIRROR,SERVER3
WITNESS，用SYNCONOUS AUTOMATIC FAILOVER, AUTOMATIC FAILOVER是怎样的，是
SERVER1自动指向SERVER2的DB1么，不用改CLIENT应用程序？如果SERVER1 CRASH掉了不
存在了，SERVER2会自动变成SERVER1么，这个是要在WINDOWS里做的吧，不明白，AUTO
FAILOVER AUTO在哪里
如果是MANUAL FAILOVER又是怎么样做的
我想LOG SHIPPING的话，如果SERVER1 CRASH，要么RENAME SERVER2 TO SERVER1,要么
CLIENT指向SERVER2
有经验的指点一下吧。 |

这样说吧。DB1上的应用程序基本上是web端的（public access），流量相对而言是没
法预计的。
DB2上的应用程序主要是连接公司自己建立的节点（比方说1000个node），这些节点都
是按计划定时查DB2，流量是可以计算的（平均每个节点一分钟查一次DB2）
但是对于这些节点本身的信息DB1和DB2所支持的应用程序都需要，所以把描述这些节点
的相关table在DB1和DB2中都建立了。主要是避免夸数据库join。当然如果要修改这些
节点的信息，应用程序会同时去两个DB修改。
当然这个设计不是最好的，是有历史原因的，现在也不好完全推翻从头做，所以只能在
现有基础上做优化。 |

ibasso上卖的那个db1貌似对我没什么用处是吧， 那个东西就是个把usb, optical转换成
balanced output用的， 不过因为我的源就是iphone, 所以db1我没有订
这个组合应该没问题吧 |

oracle server anymore.
I use dbshut and dbstart command, there is nothing display.
I use ps -ef |grep smon, there is nothing display
I try to use sqlplus to connect, it give errors:
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

then, if I only want to revoke select from one table
revoke select on db1.tbl1 from 'abc'@'%'
it doesn't work?
2. If I drop an object (e.g. table), will the privileges granted to it be
dropped automatically?
Some old readings refer to these issue in 3.x/4.x days, have them been fixed on
5.0.x(seem doesn't work on 5.0.51a)? or will they be fixed later? |

这个project大概是这样，我有2个database（DB1 和DB2）， Db2除了有一个table之外
，还有一些是根据DB1的table建立的几个view。（有点奇葩）。
比如说有3个view： ViewFact，DimAll 和 AB。
这个cube的“Measures"来自ViewFact，而 dimensions 都来自 DimAll。
在说我的问题之前，先show一下：
DimAll 的结构：
