Irreducible Complexity
Perhaps the most important Creationist response to this has been to appeal
to irreducible complexity. An organism is irreducibly complex if taking away
some of its parts doesn’t just make it work a little worse, but makes it
not work at all.
An illustration of irreducible complexity is a mouse trap. A mouse trap
consists of several elements: a flat platform, a spring, a trigger, an arm,

Nature, through the trial and error of evolution, has discovered a vast
diversity of life from what can only presumed to have been a primordial pool
of building blocks. Inspired by this success, a new Biodesign Institute
research team, led by John Chaput, is now trying to mimic the process of
Darwinian evolution in the laboratory by evolving new proteins from scratch.
Using new tricks of molecular biology, Chaput and co-workers have evolved
several new proteins in a fraction of the 3 billion yea

https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/store?role=student
instructor's course和find your textbook resources.
Physical Examination and Health Assessment

Washington: A new study has found that the American paddlefish -- known for
its bizarre, protruding snout and eggs harvested for caviar -- duplicated
its entire genome about 42 million years ago.
This finding may add a new twist to the way scientists study how fins
evolved into limbs since the paddlefish is often used as a proxy for a more
representative ancestor shared by humans and fishes.
“We found that paddlefish have had their own genome duplication. This
creates extra genetic...

By By JEFF BARNARD, AP Environmental Writer
GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — Amateur cave explorers have found a new family of
spiders in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon, and scientists have
