BTW, just check NIAID website, except R01, all the rest award types only
provide overall impact score, rather than percentile. The payline of R21 for
this fiscal year is 23 (28 for last year). I am close, but out of the line. |

very hard. NCI and NIAID have much larger funding size. just hate to see

此次ebola的传染源在哪里？除患者以外，是否有携带者和中间媒介？病毒的受体有多
少种，分布在那些组织器官上？病毒的变异速度和利用这些受体的怎样？传播途径/媒
介有哪些？病毒在人体内的复制速度怎样？病毒颗粒如何释放？病毒感染诱发人体免疫
的机会多大？人体易感性如何？病毒在人体内的代谢过程如何？我们目前的检测手段是
否充分？
对于一个死亡率这么高的RNA病毒传染病，借鉴汉坦病毒的经验是远远不够的，因为二
者的传染学特征至少从目前来说已有很大的差别。HIV和流感病毒也是RNA病毒,能让它
们随风而去吗？相反，NIH每年在HIV这一个病毒上的投入和整个肿瘤领域的投入差不多。
我不知道CDC里面有没有懂病毒的，他们的措施和在大众面前暴露的无知已经让人知道
了他们的水平。比较之下，NIAID的头头Anthony Fauci的言辞则谨慎得多也更实事求是
，因为这个医学界和病毒学界对这次爆发的ebola知之甚少。
如果楼主是医务人员，建议楼主加强学习，能结合一些science，给出一些evidence
based的专业建议和意见，那样对大家帮助最大。
