标 题: 请问国内驾照到底可不可以在加州开车？

找到两种回答:
一种是所以没问题，因为DMV上说了，http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm
"If you are a visitor in California over 18 and have a valid driver license
from your home state or country, you may drive in this state without getting
a California driver license as long as your home state license remains
valid."
但是另一种回答是，上面说的是"may"。只有那些加入"treaty for international
driver permit"的国家可以，中国没有加入，所以不行。
有点糊涂了。哪位知道答案的？ |

"you can't use a Mainland China's driver's license to drive a car in US
because that driver's license is not recognized by the legal system here--
doesn't matter if you have a notarized tranlation or not. Car rental company
is not law enforcement, their permission to give you a car doesn't mean you
can drive it.
International Driver's License from mainland China doesn't make a difference
either."
