Do the following routine 2-3 times:
(1) un-clip one pedal, and pedal with the other leg for 40 strokes. switch
leg. repeat 4-6 times (each leg gets 4-6 x 40 strokes).
(2) clip in both pedals, easy spin for 5 minutes.
after you're done, clip in both pedals and ride with 80%-90% effort for 10
minutes, you'll feel the huge improvement in your pedaling efficiency, and

drills should be done on your own time.

group ride, unless there is a pre-set rule about when/where to do what (e.g
., all-out sprints, etc.). group rides are for practicing group-riding
skills, it is not cool to do things other riders don't do. |
