The department chair should hire an adjunct for the semester if you tell him
beforehand and he has the time to find an adjunct. Talk to the faculty
records people in the provost office. they should know more about it.

发帖数: 351 | 3 Thanks. I will talk with the chair tomorrow. Originally we thought of
another faculty member in our own department could possible take part of the
course. Now it seems that he has some concerns of his own use of time.
So the chair emailed me today about his concerns of finding people to teach
for so many weeks.

这学期教课。如果要别的老师带12周，那么应该算那个老师的course load (不能当成
义务代课）。

不到人教课就不关你的事情了。 |

发帖数: 802 | 7 另外有些学校规定你必须在什么time frame里面同志你的dept head，否则如果你自己
因为不了解政策而同志迟了，那你就没有办法了。不是你生孩子就什么都可以waive的
，要注意时间上的限制。 |
