Responsibilities:
• Provide support in technical design, development, implementation
and maintenance of company’s IT systems to supported business units
• Prepare detailed specifications that describe input, output and
logical operation; and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a
computer language
• Work with business analysts and architects to define and plan the
introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems, identifying
costs and requirements and ensuring plans are in place to exploit them
• Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with
the objective of optimizing operational performance and improving quality
while increasing cost-effectiveness
• Supervise the rectification of production system issues with the
minimum disruption to the business
• Develop an expert-level understanding of major local systems
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions,
internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including
the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards
of ethical behavior
• Establish and maintain successful relationships with key business
users, sponsors, and peer IT groups to ensure transparent communication.
• Review and manage updates for the respective global program
roadmaps and associated resources for task delivery including release
planning, approvals & communication to peers and stakeholders.
• Review and manage improvements across various streams of
production change in relation to user education, optimizing use of the
platform by associated teams (e.g. Front Office and Operations).
• Maintain discipline with regards to the Change and Release
managements procedures
Essential Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience of software development in the financial
industry in C++ and C#.
• Strong knowledge of USD electronic market with actual experience
of developing applications in pricing, electronic distribution, quoting,
execution and STP.
• Well versed with real time market data technologies (Tibco, MQ,
RV, similar) and databases
• Rates products with focus on USD Government Bonds and rates
derivatives – from FO perspective: pricing, curve building, P&L, Risk, etc.
• Strong in multithreading/concurrent programming
• Knowledgeable in enterprise and design patterns
Essential skills:
• Fixed income, Tibco, MQ, RV, etc.
• C++ and C# are essential, Java a plus. Object Oriented
Programming. Scripting a plus. (Perl/Ruby, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft .NET UI application design. Ideally a
good mix of server-side and front-end. |
