BI Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Working with internal business users to design optimal report
formats and visualizations
- Performing ad-hoc analysis of the massive customer activity data to
support reporting requirements from various departments
- Building new reports and dashboards using existing BI
infrastructure
- Collaborating with BI, ETL and Data Warehouse developers to enhance
or extend exiting BI processes and tools
- Perform preliminary data validation and quality assurance of BI
solutions prior to user acceptance testing
- Working with on shore and off shore teams to coordinate delivery of
BI projects.
- Manage and document business requirement, perform gap analysis,
define and map data elements & data source.
- Analyze variety large set of data to provide insight actionable info
to business teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills required
- Strong understanding of relational and data warehouse concepts –
star and snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, data aggregation
techniques, data marts and operational data stores etc.
- Excellent SQL skills and proficiency with RDBMS products
- Hand-on experience with BI and ETL tools and platforms like Tableau
, SumoLogic, Talend etc., is highly desired.
- Knowledge of non-SQL databases and platforms, e.g. Hadoop, Mongo
etc., is a plus.
Experience with Jira, Project Management Skills is a plus | m*******g
