SNH, Inc is looking to hire a Senior Application Developer. The ideal
candidate will participate in technical architecture design and planning on
various projects, develop and implement .NET applications in a high paced
software engineering environment.
The ideal candidate will be part of a development team in all aspects of
design, architecture, development, testing, and planning. You will
demonstrate team work as well as hands-on development throughout the full
development life cycle.
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Application Developer (C#, .Net, SQL) is responsible for creating
web applications that are hosted in Amazon Web Services. The developer
will need to take into consideration all aspects of application development
architecture design including – performance, scalability, coding, caching,
security, encryption, session state management, and error logging and
testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Take a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding,
testing and implementation and support.
Implement all aspects of an application design - high performance design,
coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error
logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment
configuration, and testing.
Perform unit and system level testing on applications.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work
experience for every 1 year of education
2+ years in C#, ASP.NET, NET Framework 2.0 – 4.0, Visual Studio 2008/2010
Strong experience with WCF, LINQ, and Entity Framework
5+ years’ experience in SQL utilizing a SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 database
5+ years’ experience with designing and implementing large enterprise or e-
business systems
Experience collaborating, building, and deploying mission-critical
applications across a distributed environment
Ability to work in a fast pace and iterative development environment
Basic understanding of version control (Cloud Forge Subversion)
Basic understanding of continuous integration (Jenkins, Hudson, Cruise
Control, etc.)
Object-oriented design experience
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong understanding of workflow concepts and utilizing workflow engines.
Experience with Window Workflow Foundation (WF) a plus
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices
for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards,
code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and
operations
Experience with modern software development practices (test-driven
development, Agile continuous integration)
Experience re-factoring code and evolving architectures
