someone share his/her experience? Coz I don't actually believe every Chinese
JD got high GPA in the first year

发帖数: 154 | 2 If you are not in a top14 law school, not on a law journal, and not ranked
in the top 25% for your first year, you should probably just forget about
the OCI. In fact, many law students in the non-top14 law schools do not get
their big-law jobs from OCI. I seem to remember that you have a technical
background. You should have gone to the Loyola job fair; the chance of
getting callbacks there is quite high. Failing that, I am afraid you will

发帖数: 31 | 3 LHand gave you some great advice already. I just want to emphasize one
point: do whatever you can this year to pull your grades up - take easy
classes, study 24/7, borrow good outlines, etc. Then you will be in a much
better position during 3L OCI. Normally it is not that hard to get
respectable grades once you are done with 1L year. Good luck.

发帖数: 461 | 5 each year a lot of big firms recruit rising 3Ls in the OCI if they want to
expand their 2L summer class. but because most of the associate positions
will be filled by the 2Ls who take the offers, there're not many positions
left for the 3Ls. |
