you're right, unless and until all info is turned in, you can't lock and you
don't know what rate/pricing you'll get. even you lock, it's contingent
upon closing the transaction before the lock expiration.
honestly, no one knows what and when's the best rate--best is to make
decision based on your own unique situation.

rate on the market. But for all time best rate, no one knows. If you decide
to lock your lone, you must have already known it's the best rate, and then
don't look at the market any more. For some lenders, you don't have to
provide all the paper docs to lock the rate, but basic info is needed, like
your SSN, income, and housing info.

比今天又低了,所以没有人知道什么是最好的利率.

人，并且通常情况下，需要去run一个online的underwriting系统，通过之后才能lock
rate。
如果LZ不提供资料的话，这个loan就无法开始，无法开始的话，就什么rate都没有。
而且，正如bed所言，也未必要在一开始lock rate。各有利弊吧。 |
