在美国，G，T都已经考完，成绩还不错，现在打算申请明年秋季入学的MPH （master
of public health）。
那个personal essay介绍自己为何选择这个专业好难写啊，怎样解释自己放弃学习了8
年的临床专业而转public health呢？光说兴趣，怕是会显得空洞吧？！有没有经历类
似的xdjm给我点指点，应该从哪几个点来说明自己的purpose呢？
求教了，回答好的发包子，跪谢！ |

先读个MPH吧，但愿能申请的上吧，现在正头疼准备申请材料呢

床型喜欢招有临床背景的，好的学校更喜欢多元国际背景者。
当年差点去了MPH后来一位大牛给了我一句话后（No patient touch no money）而转了
去PA。

your experience and interests in conducing clinical trials, will won you
big during your MPH application.
A lot of Indian / pastiness Pakistan MDs in our university got their MPH,
then worked in the clinical trial unit to know the physicians, get reference
letters, and get in touch with patient... they could get the best
residency programs they want !!!
In several universities if you have the ECFMG certificates and are
interested in clinical research, you could get into the PhD program called "
science of clinical investigation"

生物统计学 sounds a narrower field in job hunting. I am not sure how much
difference between Epidemiology and 生物统计学 .May be better check with
individual program which one is most closest to clinical trial / research.
