enought, you can always create something marketable or academic recognizable
by yourself, using a PC. No expensive equipment/instruments are required.
many years after, never made money personally by programming, except earning
wage working for my company.
at best, i tried to model to some real life problems, such scrambled square
puzzle and poker game, and did some modeling and simulation.
