,跑完比较长的>5miles,我都很困,特想睡觉。这些可都是我的slow runs.如果是
speed work,那我就更困了。

additionally, enough food and especially excessive water before your
exercise .
If you still feel sleepy after that, then you may want to reduce the
intensity or time of your exercise. For a regular person, usually 30-minute
middle-intensity exercise per day is advocated to be best for health.
Exercise is really a long-term thing, you can make your improvement
gradually.

我昨天睡的晚,今天早上吃的也少,结果long run到第4mile就饿的不行了。

would hit the sack around 9pm. But you would feel better after you build up
your running base. How many years have been running?

So the past few days, I slept 10 - 12 hours a day. And I feel much better
after 6-mile-runs.
But the new potential problem: I found my appetite dropped significantly. I
don't eat as much as before, probably due to the longer sleeping time. (
Previously I was sleeping ~6 hrs a day only.)
and I am afraid that I might not have enough energy intake due to the less
food. I burn about 800 calories for a 6-mile-run - that's nearly half of
what I eat everyday.

reap the benifit of running?
You need to sleep more and eat more to stay healthy even not mentioning
running.
Rule of thumb: An average 150-pound man needs to take at least 2000 cal a
day and add 100 cal with one extral mile he runs. |

还有,你跑步的时候补充水了吗?
我一般如果睡的少,跑个3-5迈会觉得精神振奋
long run之后有可能比平时想睡觉
当然,我比较能吃

of liquid followed by another 1 liter during the hour after my run. I am
trying my best to re-hydrate myself.
Good appetite is always a good thing. :)
