rest, ice, stretch, foamroller,
run on softer surface, run less and run slow
add some strength exercises, like leg extensions, leg curls, hip abductors
I rested for 2 weeks.
the 1st week 18mi bike, 6.3mi run, didn't feel fully recovered.
the 2nd week i only ran 1.1mi.
In the 3rd week, i resumed training with 40.2mi in total, including a hadd
test.

but somehow the IT band was tight, that was the issue.
