我们这边有几个我认识的白人跑100miles和235miles的，据他们说都没有像我现在这么
训练的，一周
也就30miles左右，跑235miles的之前参加过一次Chicago Marathon，也是跑着玩的。
我看了一个Ultra marathon的训练计划，每周的mileage和AM上70miles的差不多，区别
是周末两
天都是长跑，类似周六跑一个半马，周日跑一个35miles的距离，对速度的要求没有AM
上那么严格，我
觉得挺好玩的

今天跑了15miles，跑到local airport探路，感觉还不错，那一线高速都是可以跑的
下星期 打算20miles 跑到另一个城市
生日那天 打算35miles

roads. You gotta log at least 90-100 miles per week to prepare for it. There
is simply no way that someone who runs 30 miles per week can finish
Leadville.

，吐血价啊。
多谢分享训练计划。我还没开始做功课，因为十有八九中不了lottery 。算是为2年后
的two-year loser做准备。

shouldn't even think about 100 miles without having done a 50-miler. On the
other hand, you obvious have a gift in covering long distance.:) The 100-
miler isn't just about athletic ability. Pure mental strength is not enough either. Whether you will be able to finish
will have a lot to do with how much of a beating your body (joints and
tendons) can take. Your body needs some time to adapt to the distance.

so soon. My impression from your other post is that you only started
running for half a year. It does look like you have great potential in
running. But, I don't think it is a good idea to try 100 miles so soon if
your goal is to be competitive at race. On the other hand, if you just want
to have the fame of finishing it to have some bragging rights on this board,
then go for it. The cost (not the $250) would be high though. Take good
care of your potential.

好玩。。。。我觉得我不是非常注重速度的。。。我也怕受伤。。。我觉得我就是喜欢
一边跑一边看
风景。。。我老板说他以前在柏林跑步，就是跑很多个小时，up and down,到处玩，我
觉得好羡慕
啊！
我觉得我和你们不一样，我真的对最后的PR啥的，不能说一点兴趣没有，但是真的没有
啥足够的
motivation. 我是比较沉醉于在自己的世界的乐趣的人，自我满足罢了。。

Let me draw a comparison. Tonyprince, who just ran NYC marathon in 3:02 a
week ago, ran Vermont 100 in 26 hours. LT100 is much harder than Vermont 100
due to the altitude and difficult trail. The cutoff time is 30 hours. If
you don't make it in 30 hours at the finish, or the according cutoff times
at various aid stations, you will be pulled out of the race.

，我用不着

而且现在还有差不多8个月，好好训练，尽力，即使没能完成 也没有遗憾，对我自己也

his friend early on in the race. But there is just so many unknown factors
in a 100 mile race. Even someone like Anton Krupicka could crash out of the
race in 12 hours.

marathon at the time. Well not only she won the race, but she broke the
women's course record by 3 hours.

还有Vermount的上下山跨度还是挺大的 有挺多山路有挺大技术难度的

compares to Vermont. Anton Krupicka,

are gonna be out there for 24
hours. Thinking about mileage or pace all the time would be overwhelming.
When I ran my 50-miler earlier in
the year, my mindset was exactly that I'd be hanging out on the road for the
day. Towards the end the mind is
separated from the body, as if it were looking down at this beat up machine
that is making its way forward.

ticket costs $100 a day at Vail or any major resort along I70, not to
mention the lodging. Last time I skied in Colorado, I drove my own SUV,
stayed in friend's house in Denver, and borrowed season passes :)
Having a support team is very important, and that's what the faimily is for,
isn't it?
